This upcoming Tuesday will mark exactly three months of being cigarette free for both Matthew, and myself. To me this is a blessing because when we first started out I had doubts that we would make it this far. And while it has been difficult I can honestly say that this is probably the single most important thing we have done for ourselves, our family, and each other.

Canadians have always been known for escaping to the Sunshine State of Florida to beat the winter blues, but this year especially with the Canadian dollar kicking butt, travel magazines on this side of the border are predicting record numbers of Canucks heading south to Florida this coming winter.

The First Friday Weekend Art Walk is an art lovers event that happens on the first Friday and Saturday of every month in St. Augustine, Florida. St. Augustine is a popular destination for travellers from around the globe because it is amongst the oldest of cities in the entire Americas and there is much to do there that is culturally enriching!

I love art, and I love seeing the work of local artists being featured in events like the St. Augustine Artwalk where people can both enjoy, and purchase various artworks if they so desire. Kudos to the lovely city of St. Augustine!

Another really cool thing about this event, and that I would personally really get a kick out of is a ride on one of the trolleys. The St. Augustine Sightseeing Trains and Old Town Trolley Tours, provide free rides to most of the Artwalk destinations!

With music, art, and great food this is definitely an event worth attending in my opinion!
