This week's theme was actually tough for me because I love so many different people, places, and things. I would need a thousand photos to adequately express them all...
I decided that what I needed to do was share a photo with you of something that could be symbolic of them all. Hope you enjoy my photo.
Happy Photo Hunting! Have a terrific weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!
Cheers!

I love grandfather clocks. I have grown up loving that tick tock sound that provides such a feeling of security to me, perhaps because my parents had a fine antique English long case style clock in the living room of the house that we kids grew up in. We also had a black forest cuckoo clock, however I have no fond memories of that one, and that is another story....
Currently chez Didier-Darroch is too cramped to allow for a lovely grandfather clock such as the type that I would want, but a girl can dream can't she! I really like the look of the traditional Howard Miller clocks that are listed on the page I have linked to they have that antique look, but are completely brand new.
Now I realise that perhaps the more contemporary styled grandfather clocks would suit modern home décor tastes, but I really am a traditionalist at heart ... and this is after all my dream, and my home we are talking about!
With the holidays upon us I cannot help but fondly recall as I type up this entry on clocks, and time pieces the beautiful mantel clock my father gave to me for Christmas 1998. I am actually gazing at it over my monitor as I type this. My Dad passed away in 1999, and it was the last gift he ever gave me. This clock is deeply cherished, and loved....as I am certain you understand why...and was indeed a most thoughtful Christmas gift.
Cheers!
