Yep, according to a 680 News breaking news alert the RCMP (that is Royal Canadian Mounted Police for non-Canadian readers) have busted former Nortel CEO Frank Dunn this very morning on charges of fraud.
Dunn, has been charged with fraud affecting the public securities market, as well as with falsification of accounts and documents and involvement in issuing a false prospectus.
His colleagues former Nortel chief financial officer Douglas Beatty, and former corporate controller Michael Gollogly are also to be charged with similar fraud related crimes.
And yes it really pisses me off when crimes of this nature are committed because it is always the little guy who is ruined financially while these types get off with serving time in Club Fed.
Hopefully the RCMP will have gotten their man so to speak. We will see.....

I was just listening to a news report on 640 News a local Toronto area radio station about a gang of ABM fraudsters being busted here in the city.
Police speculate that some "150,000 customers" may have been affected and more than "$1,000,000.00" is likely to have been stolen.
From both a business, and consumer perspective this type of crime along with identity theft is something that does greatly consumer me. What are your thoughts? Is this just a sign of the times? Is there more than can be done as a preventative measure to foil these types of crimes before they take place?
Cheers!

Hey My Peeps!
So how hot is YOUR domain name? This is a burning question that I personally have had in regards to my domain name since deciding to try opening up an online business of my own. And now I have the opportunity to find out, and you do too via Network Solutions' domain name analysis page. Check it out!
Screen Shot Domain Name Scorecard
As you can see from the screen capture above the site is very user friendly. I was able to get my score very easily in under 5 minutes directly from the Network Solutions site. You just add your domain name into the field where it asks for it, answer a couple of very easy questions as prompted to do so, and click submit. You can also opt to have your results sent to you via email for handy future reference.
I was not overly pleased with my own score, 2/10, but hey knowledge is power, and I was able to pick up some important tips on how to greatly improve my domain name's score should I choose to do so.
If you are wondering how much a valuable service like this costs then stop wondering....the answer is nothing, nada, zilch! I am not kidding either! The fine folks at Network Solutions have added this service to their site for users to try out for free. Now, how cool is that!
Cheers!

As new condo sales are going up in my fair city of Toronto I have to wonder how long it will take before the housing bubble finally bursts. I mean who realistically can afford a $600,000 dollar price tag on a home, certainly very few of my generation. I think the bubble will burst as the economy also shows its first signs of weakening, and perhaps in the long run that will be a good thing for T.O the good.
Speaking of condo sales it is high time city planners took notice, and realised that what people want is smaller homes that are easier to maintain both financially, and physically in higher density areas that are well serviced by public transit .... sigh.....
Cheers!
