The Vertical Workstation

In an effort to help people get slim while at the office, scientists have developed a workstation/treadmill. More from the BBC:

Obesity experts have developed a vertical workstation which helps employees take exercise and shed weight as they work.

The designers, the Mayo Clinic in New York, said it could help obese people to lose up to 30kg a year.

Fifteen obese volunteers burned an average of 191 calories an hour using the treadmill, compared to 72 calories just sitting at their desk.

The study features in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

While I applaud any effort made to promote healthier lifestyle choices, I'm not too certain that this vertical workstation will be the wave of the future, nor do I believe we'll be seeing them in every other office anytime soon. But yeah, I've been wrong about cetain products, and services before. Is this something you'd like to see in your own office? Would you use it?
