The Lotus Path Workshops

Generally, I am very skeptical of spiritual enlightenment and shamanism workshops as you already know through our paranormal blog. There appears to be a lot of them online that are either unprofessional in appearance at best or very dubious sounding in the services that they offer the general public at worst. For those that are interested in seeking a more spiritually enlightening path there is a lot of needed sorting the wheat from the chaff as far as the internet goes, so to speak.

Today, I am delighted to present you with one of those few gems that can be found on the world wide web. Since many of our readers are spiritually minded and seeking enlightenment let me introduce you to The Lotus Path Workshops. The website itself is simply beautiful! It is well laid out, easy to navigate, and classy! The workshops themselves are based on different methods, and techniques such as Tantric Yoga, Tibetan Buddhism, Pranic Healing, and Hawaiian shamanism.

If you are looking to enhance your spiritual self, or are planning a trip to Yosemite please do visit The Lotus Path Workshops. And please let Betty know that Sue sent you!

Namaste

It's gettin' close to WRESTLEMANIA!!!

I know, I know... shouldn't this be on the double-decker bus blog?

Well... actually... no. This Wrestlemania coming up (believe it or not, this is the twenty-third Wrestlemania,) will not just have the standard championship matches with
John Cena taking on Shawn "The Heart Break Kid" Michaels and "Big Dave" Batista vs. The Undertaker... but will feature something that definitely smacks of money... two billionaires with bad hair... and ONE will get his head shaved.

Yup, Vincent Kennedy Macmahon (owner and director of WWE) and "The Donald", Donald Trump (fresh from his bouts with Rosie) have selected grapplers to enter the squared circle and defend their... HAIR!

Yup, whomever's champion screws up gets his noggin shaved!

For those interested, Vince has chosen "big Samoan" Umaga to be his man... and Trump has chosen Blaster Lashley... and an old name that hasn't been near the squared circle will be on hand as guest referee... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!

Spoiler!

Now, think about this for a minute... DOES the final outcome make "sense" and end in what would be the logical way? (Trump wouldn't shave his head for all the tea in China so therefore Vince get's the Britney Spears treatment?)

...or...

Do they SWERVE us? (Trump, realising that his hair is one of the biggest things about him to be criticized decides to take the BIG PLUNGE for fun... and probably a six-figure paycheque for a few minutes work.)

I betcha it won't be Trump getting a new do... but you never know... and MAN, that would be worth it!

Has anyone mentioned that Vince Macmahon is a GENIUS lately?

I'm actually VERY interested in this match... This one and yeah, Shawn Michaels and John Cena (which they're building PERFECTLY!!! Oh, and yes, I'm probably one of the VERY few male marks that likes Cena...)

...but want a little teaser? After Wrestlemania, there's a "pay-per-view" called "Backlash"... and here's the poster for this year's offering... it's a beaut!

Adam Copeland ROCKS!

Yup, that's my ol' bud Adam Copeland... aka: Edge! Something tells me he's gonna have a GOOD year! He is, without a doubt, the best heel currently in pro-wrestling!

The Word On Eris Apparel

Have you heard about Eris Apparel yet? It is a terrific online shop for women who are large busted, but not necessarily full figured. It can be really difficult for women with this body type to find clothing that will fit them properly. If you are a woman of average body type, but wear a D-G cup Eris Apparel will give you some fabulous clothing options with the convenience of shopping online! Go check them out, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the wonderful items they have for you to choose from.

Cheers!

Blog About Your Blog!

Are you looking for a new way to get your blog noticed, and boost your traffic? If you are, then you've got to check out the Pimp's roomie this week!

Blog About Your Blog is a new and innovative idea from my blogging buddy Matthew. The concept is based around giving bloggers a space where they can promote their own blogs, articles, and referral links. There is also a forum which serves as another promotional vehicle, and a general area where bloggers can chit chat, offer support to each other, functioning much like an office water cooler.

If you haven't already checked out Matt's site I highly recommend that you do. I have written three articles for Blog about Your Blog in the past and I am still getting hits from the site. Plus they really boosted my Technorati rating!

Blog About Your Blog also contains regularly posted articles on blog promotion, earning money online, and other useful tips. Go check it out and do leave a comment letting Matt know the Pimp sent ya!

How's THAT for a Monday morning, barely a full cup of Java pimpin'

Cheers!

It's Good To Laugh!

The boss of a Madison Avenue advertising agency called a spontaneous staff meeting in the middle of a particularly stressful week. (This is one pretty sharp boss!)

When everyone gathered, the boss, who understood the benefits of having fun, told the burnt out staff the purpose of the meeting was to have quick contest. The theme: Viagra advertising slogans. The only rule was they had to use past ad slogans, originally written for other products that captured the essence of Viagra. Slight variations were acceptable.

About 7 minutes later, they turned in their suggestions and created a Top 10 List. With all the laughter and camaraderie, the rest of the week went very well for everyone!

The top 10 were:

10. Viagra, Whaazzzz up!

9. Viagra, The quicker pecker picker upper.

8. Viagra, like a rock!

7. Viagra, When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight.

6. Viagra, Be all that you can be.

5. Viagra, Reach out and touch someone.

4. Viagra, Strong enough for man, but made for a woman.

3. Viagra, Home of the whopper!

2. Viagra, We bring good things to Life!

And the unanimous number one slogan:

1. This is your peepee. This is your peepee on drugs.

Thanks to Jackie Sue for finding these gems!

Automatic Cashiers - Will They Replace The Human Kind?

I've got to admit that I first learned about automatic cashiers only yesterday. Weird ..eh! I live in a major urban Metropolis, and yet somehow I've managed to miss these things. Apparently automatic cashiers have been around for up to ten years in grocery stores in some North American cities. I must be leading a technologically sheltered life.

For those like myself that are virtually ignorant of these things, automatic cashiers are machines set up in various stores that allow you to scan the items, bag them, pay for your purchase and then leave. I guess they are based around the same idea as ATM machines.

No more idle chit chat with the cashier, no more paying for someone else to bag your stuff.....to be honest I don't know how I feel about these automated cashiers. Perhaps I'm old fashioned and just need to get with the times. However, I am not that big of a fan of ATM's either and when I can I do go into my bank branch so that I can interact with a teller.

That I guess is what is really bugging, with all this new technology, automatic tellers, now cashiers, automated phone calls etc etc ....that are designed to make our lives easier .... we are starting to miss out on something very important... for good or bad....actual human contact.....

Yeah ... I'm guessing I'm just old fashioned.....

What the world needs now....

.....Is love, sweet love.....That's the only thing that....There's just too little of...

Matthew and I first met online in 1999. We bumped into each other in cyber space through our websites that shared common topics and interests. We rapidly became best friends through our shared email correspondence and eventually as they say, "the rest is history." Can I honestly tell you that our relationship is one of THE best things that has ever happened in my life....YES!!!!!! And in part I owe it to our meeting online.

It can be really tough to meet people we have things in common with. Matthew and I were lucky to have found each other. However, the internet and "Online Dating" has really simplified the process of meeting that right person.

Just Say Hi.com is a quality online dating website that is dedicated to bringing people together through their message forums, polls, and surveys. Unlike some other online dating services Just Say Hi.com is absolutely FREE to join for both men and women! And as I'm always saying on this blog, "free is good!"

If you like to meet new people or are looking for that special relationship check out Just Say Hi.com. If I can find my happiness online, so can you! As she hums ...."What the world needs now"....

My thanks to our sponsor!

The Secret As Seen On The Oprah Winfrey Show

So what is this BIG secret that is being billed as "the Secret to everything - the secret to life filled with joy, good health, financial freedom, loving relationships abundant energy youth: everything you ever wanted."

Huh?!

If you want it in a nutshell, free, without spending a ton of cash it appears to be this: Be a good person, and think positively, by doing so you will attract other good people, and positive things will happen to you.

Common sense for the most part isn't it?

You have to wonder how many millions of dollars these "Secret" gurus will make, from sales of books, DVD, CD's, seminars, speaking engagements from our miserable, Prozac addled society. All based around a very simple message.

Some "secret" .... isn't this something that most of our parents have already taught us, that those with spiritual and religious beliefs, philosophies, and values already knew????

Maintaining a positive outlook in today's world can be extremely difficult for some, so is doing the right thing and being a good person. Can a film, tape, or book really make it any easier? I cant answer that, but I can wonder this, will making a bunch of rich folks more richer by buying into these items really bring us true enlightenment and greatly enrich our lives as promised?

What are your thoughts on "The Secret?" Am I off-base with this?

BTW while checking out other websites on"The Secret" I came across more than one self-help guru claiming how wonderful "The Secret" is, BUT they were preaching it first so therefore buy their books too .... As my Mama would say .... "Oy Vey!"

The Secret To Success On Mylot

I have now been with Mylot for just over 3 months and have been paid approximately $70.00 US by them directly into my PayPal account.

For those of you who have not heard of Mylot it is a website forum that is open to International participants that will pay you for adding to or starting discussions on just about any topic of your choosing. They will also pay you for uploading photos and for referring others to sign on. You are paid 25% of your referrals earnings. This does not come out of their cash, but is a bonus paid by Mylot to you.

Currently I have 14 referrals of which 4 are very active on the site. I am at a point where I do not have to participate at all to earn the minimum monthly pay-out of $10.00 US based solely on what I am being paid via my referrals. I do participate though, because it's fun and I've met a lot of very nice people over there that I do find interesting enough to chat with.

So aside from following the Mylot guidelines and participating in meaningful discussions it is imperative to your success to gain and keep referrals. By keep I mean, keep them interested and help them to become successful with you.

I do this by making sure my referrals are added to my friends list immediately, sending them a note of welcome, engaging in their discussions, and giving them positive ratings so that they quickly achieve the highest rankings. By helping my referrals achieve success I too become more successful. So it is a win-win situation (my favourite kind!)

If you haven't already given Mylot a try you can check it out via my referral link below or on the sidebar and we can earn together. A big thank you in advance if you do, and feel free to contact me directly with any questions that you may have or if I can help out in anyway.

Wirefly's Cingular Phones Are Hot!

Have you checked out Wirefly's Cingular phone deals yet? They have a large variety of phones listed on their website and I've just spent the better part of an hour checking some of them out. I've been bugging the hubby about needing to upgrade from my old cell phone for a long time now....and I found this one......

I LOVE the Red RAZR. This phone is definitely red hot! It's a multimedia phone that includes an MP3 player, and a digital camera. These are features that I have personally wanted in a phone for quite awhile as I've been looking to upgrade from my existing phone, and join the 21st century in cell phone capabilities and technology. And it has voice activated dialing! How cool is that! Of course it includes text-messaging and a whole bunch of other great features that you'll just have to check out at Wirefly's website.

You've got to admit, this phone just looks so sleek and compact. So professional in appearance, but at the same time just a little risque, and fun! The Red RAZR plan also includes a Bluetooth Headset as an added bonus!

And the best part is that this phone is being offered FREE with a new Wirefly Cingular wireless account! Free is always good particularly when it comes to such a hot little item like the Red RAZR.

Our thanks to our sponsors!

Introducing Two New Blogs

It's hard to believe that in May 2006 when Matthew first suggest I try blogging I pooh-poohed the idea, saying what would I have to blog about! Yeeesh! I said the same thing about websites in 1997 and I have five of those!

Well it's now February 2007 and I am a blogging addict or blogging fool perhaps .. lol!

Aside from One Old Green Bus (Hubby's Blog), The Paranormal Blog, and this very own Nuttin' But Pimp ( my journey on trying to make a part-time income online) may I proudly introduce you to:

Pastyme with Good Companye

Welcome to the blog of amateur historians Matthew James Didier and Sue Darroch. Partners in life and in crime, we endeavor to entertain you with snippets from our combined historical research. Past time with good company indeed, as we shall introduce you to Kings and Knaves, Queens and Mistresses, Cons and Heroes, from our collective past......from events well known to those perhaps all but forgotten, we will do our best to bring you interesting historical factoids from around the globe. It is our belief that through understanding our past we will all gain a better perspective on our future.

and

My Life In The Urban Zoo

Coming to you live from the dreaded Didier-Darroch compound somewhere in the currently frozen bowels of the city of Toronto, Canada our blog about life in the Urban Zoo our "pet name" if you will for the compound. This blog will relate far too much information on life in the city in general, raising kids, frightful teenagers, and even more frightful adult children, aging parents, our numerous pets, dogs, cats, birds, and other assorted critters.

I hope that these two new offerings will be enjoyed by our readers as well! Please do leave a comment on them and let me know what you think.

If you'd like to exchange links with either of them please do let me know. Also don't forget this blog's Link Exchange Program.

Cheers!

No-Name products vs. Brand Name products

Do you buy no-name products in order to save money? I often do, things like paper products, staple foods like rice, flour, soap etc. Sometimes I find that the no-name products are just as good if not better than their brand name counterparts. In some cases though like my favourite coffee I always go with the name brand.

I have also heard, but have no way to determine if it's accurate, that some well-known companies will sell their products as no-name just to be able to get rid of their stock! Though, these companies will never admit this business practice publically as it might hurt their reputation.

Something to think about....especially when trying to save some cash.

Cheers!

Happy Valentine's Day

"The tradition of giving your love a Valentine's Day card goes back to Bishop Valentine, whilst awaiting his execution he fell in love with his jailors daugher Asterius, she was blind and as an act of faith Valentine restored her vision. Just before his execution he wrote her a farewll message "from your Valentine". After this many young romans wrote to their beloved with their affectionate greetings.

The First Valentines card was sent in 1415AD by Charles Duke of Orleans."

When I was a young girl I made a home-made Valentine's Day card for my Dad. Many years later after he passed away and we were cleaning up and packing up his things I came across it in an old briefcase he had. It brought back such fond and happy memories of years gone by. I opened it, and inside he wrote "this is the best card anyone ever gave me" .... I cried like a baby. I have this card, it is safely tucked away in my treasure box.

This year I put equal thought and meaning into the card I gave my Valentine.

While it is certainly important to give unconditional love throughtout the year, and I do know there are many that hate this holiday, I find that Valentine's Day offers a way to be creative in saying "I Love You" to those in our lives.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sue

My daughter was told she was too fat to be promoted

This past weekend my 20 year old daughter came over for a visit and told me something that got my blood boiling!

She works for the male dominated construction industry as an executive assistant. Recently she has been taking sales seminars and is looking to branch off into that area of the company. On Friday she was apparently called into the owner's office and point blankly told she would never be promoted unless she loses weight!!!!

My daughter wears a ladies 7-8 is not even chunky in my opinion and at work is always professionally dressed. Not only do I find her boss' statement ludicrous, I believe it is illegal and we told her that!

Of all my kids she has been the one to suffer the most self esteem issues, although she is smart and in my opinion a pretty young woman. She has no lack of people asking her on dates.

Anyway she was devastated by this comment, and I just had visions of wanting to throw this man through a window.

I told her she should report him to the ministry of labour, but she is afraid because it is his word against hers, and embarrassed, plus she does make very good money. Still I wish she would have walked in Monday morning and told her boss what he could do with his job.

Anyone else ever go through this? I have never been more insulted for my kid, not to mention ever come across anything like this in my own professional career. Disgusting!

UGH!!!!!!!!

Does publicity equal success? I guess we'll see...

From Matthew Double-Decker Bus Guy Didier...

Usually, when I post here, I don't bother letting people know it's me posting instead of Sue, but in this case, I'm making a wee exception... as this post is about "The Quest"... sorta.

Don't worry... Sue's done an admirable job in "posts past" of pimping our bus... this is about "getting the word out there".

The reason I want to talk about this is the recent... well... upswell in popularity that "One Old Green Bus" and our dream seems to have taken over the last few weeks... it's almost kinda scary.

You see, I'm kinda use to being known as "The Ghost Guy". For a decade now, I've done a pretty decent job of looking into the paranormal. Professionally, I've been known as "The Computer Guy", even getting the nickname "Doc" at my old office from some thanks to my initials (M.D.) and the fact I doctored sick computers... I actually never lost a patient in that aspect...

...but now...

Apparently, I'm the Double-Decker Bus Guy... which I don't really mind... in fact, it's kinda nice as this isn't all about me, but it's something I share with Sue and my family.

Still, is it ever odd to have people in chats and on message boards tell me how they follow the blog and enjoy the posts... or single out certain posts and compliment me... occasionally, more rarely, they critique harshly... but I'm proud to say that, as far as I know, only one "blogger" out there has a chip on their shoulder about our dream and our quest. That's one out of literally thousands... not a bad ratio, really.

Still, especially recently, interest and genuine "well wishes"... and even some financial help have indeed been picking up!

Now, there's an old adage... bad publicity is better than no publicity... and I disagree. It seems that the more people enjoy and appreciate our offerings on the other blog, the better things seem to work out. I have a feeling if more people loathed us, then it would be a failure out of the gate.

The recent "success" (in terms of readers and supporters) has been kinda "viral"... news releases really haven't worked all that well... and the one bit of press we did get through a major Canadian daily actually did me harm... but in the long run, the "blogsphere" and "netizens" seem to really appreciate our efforts, the dream, and even the kookiness of it all. Is it ever weird to see our "dream" translated in Chinese on another blog... and have people write about the dream and quest on message board and blogs I'd never heard of... or visited before... In essence, people are really wanting our kooky dream to come true... and boy, do we thank them for that.

The bus thing is, in our opinion and many others, a good cause too (which I'm sure helps) in the fact that it's a rare and historic bus and we would be saving it from a very questionable fate, but it still boils down to, realistically, a kooky dream of a family and their attempts and hopes... not much more.

Where am I going with all this?

Well, most people come to THIS blog (Nuttin' But Pimp) to find ways to earn some money. Sue's really in charge here and has done an admirable job... and she too has "gotten the name out there" rather well... but if fame can ever equal success, it's ONLY in the aspect that people see what you have to offer and, for lack of a better term, buy into it or, at the very least, want to know more and see more.

In the bus case, this means helping us achieve a dream we can't make happen without assistance. For others we've heard from here, it's trying to make a decent living while being able to stay home and care for children and even in a couple of cases, loved ones who need help.

Will the swell of readers and those helping "get our word out" lead to a success with the bus?

...perhaps... time will tell...

If it does, what a grand experiment it will be... and perhaps a lesson for those trying to achieve what Nuttin' But Pimp is trying to do.

...because if we can make something happen, anyone can.

I know one thing for sure... The bus represents much more than "just a bus" to us... and we have told people about all of that... and as of tonight, the idea that a "blog" can make a difference reared it's head with us... as Sue, while I'm penning this, is writing to someone who, as a reader AND a quasi-contributor to our paranormal blog just had some very important questions answered about a history... and, regardless of where it leads, his life is improved with the knowledge and information he's only just received.

Oh, and if that person reads this, don't be at all surprised (if YOUR dream is still what you said it was,) we start working towards helping you with whatever we can after we get the bus! It seems only right to help someone else if success finds us.

Anyway, I can't think of a better "reward" for some of our efforts than knowing that our pixelated scribbles have aided someone in some way... be that information, hope, ideas, thoughts... whatever... but again, success with the bus will be a testament that if you knuckle down, help yourself, and put your dreams into the universe, things CAN happen if you're patient and work towards to your cause.

Wanna see the thing I'm talking about via the Paranormal Blog? Click here... it's very cool!

Cash Crate! Online Money Making Program That Pays!

This program
will pay you for testing products, and services, reviewing websites, and taking part in surveys! You pick and choose each offer that you want to be involved in.

Payment is offered in US dollars by cheque only at this time. Minimum payment can be set as little as $5.00 dollars.

This program is open to Canadian, USA, British, and Australian residents. I'm not certain about other countries at this time, but it doesn't hurt to check it out!

It's free to join, and I've already made $0.70 cents for signing up to one survey. I'll probably make minimum payment and more in the next hour.

I should also tell you that there is a referral program in place at Cash Crate that will pay you 20% of your referals income, and an additional 10% of their referals. Not bad, eh!

Cash Crate appears to be completely legit, and although I have just started with them the person who referred me has already received their first payment of just over $30.00 US this past Friday approximately 20 days after joining.

Please do drop me a line if you've decided to check it out, and thank you very much in advance if you click on the link above and use my referral ID to sign up. I appreciate it, and in turn will sign-up to any referrals for legit money-making opportunities you may have. I believe strongly in helping each other out!

Cheers!

Anna Nicole Smith - Cause Of Death

Anna Nicole Smith

It has barely been a full day since the announcement that Anna Nicole Smith has died and already the rumour mills are full of conspiracy theories. I have even heard her untimely demise being compared with that of Marilyn Monroe.

I tend to stay away from conspiracy theories as a rule. My research into the UFO phenomenon has taught me that paying too much attention to that type of speculation breeds paranoia.

What caused the death? Well, that will be up to the coroner and a toxicology report. It's a given that her lifestyle played a part regardless, unless she had some unknown cardiovascular issue. Either way, I have a gut feeling that her short life and tragic death will be discussed years and years from now and findings and thoughts will be disputed.

My thoughts and prayers are with her young daughter, and I hope that, no matter what people might think of her lifestyle and choices, that she is in a more peaceful place.

Paris Hilton Wins The Most Annoying Celebrity Crown By A Landslide!

Paris Hilton - Most Annoying Celeb

I started a poll on Mylot (a site that pays you to start and reply to discussions - see my other entries on this fantastic website that I have received payment from) asking the other members to vote for the most annoying celebrity and give a brief description as to why they that celeb irks them.

There were several votes for Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson, and even Michael Jackson scored a few hits...surprised?!

However, the overwhelming pick (which was also my own) out of a whopping 120 plus responses and counting is Paris Hilton.

I'm going to apologise in advance to any readers of this blog who might be fans of hers, but I've got to say that she annoys me on so many levels, that I truly believe she deserves this dubious honour. I guess it irks me that there are so many terrific and talented young artists that will never receive the notoriety she does simply because of her name and her tapes. And thanks to my Mylot poll I know I am definitely not alone.

However, the fact remains that Paris Hilton continously tops the most searched for name on Google and Yahoo!

Is it a love/hate thing people have for her?

Does she have a lot of in-the-closet fans so to speak? Or is this something similar to people stopping to see a car accident or watch a rolling train wreck?

Regardless, Congratulations Paris!!!!! An award you have truly earned!

Cheers!

Do you think cars should be banned from city centers?

Personally with the threat of global warming I would like to see all cars banned from my city's (Toronto) core with the exception of emergency vehicles, public transportation, transports of goods, and perhaps a special permit for those who are elderly and disabled. I really do not see why anyone living in the heart of the city needs a car for daily living. What do you think? Would you support a ban on cars in large urban centers or do you think that is going too far?

I am considering writing an open letter to Toronto's current (and supposedly green) Mayor David Miller proposing that Toronto join other European cities and lead the way with this progressive course of action in tackling the issue of global warming.

To read the hubby's thoughts on this issue click here.

Calculate your own household's carbon footprint here.

I was surprised to find out the we as a family create, on average, 3.8 tons of carbon pollution a year. You could release about the same amount of carbon pollution by cutting and burning all the trees in a section of the Amazon rain forest the size of 0.456 football fields.

However, I was shocked to find out that in comparison the average equivalent American household creates 25.3 tons of CO2!!!

That is a whole lot of C02!!! Far from getting me down this data is actually spurring me to do more to lessen our own carbon footprint, hopefully it will do the same for you.

Cheers!

The Darker Side Of Marketing .... Altamira Ads

With RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plan), RSP, tax season upon us these Altamira ads have been popping up all over the downtown core of Toronto, Canada. The pitiful images in these ads of elderly people presumably forced into working due to their financial circumstances are not only sad, but purposefully designed to frighten us into thinking about our own retirement.

And yes, despite my mistrust of the big banks, and mutual fund companies I have to admit these darker marketing ploys do work. Personally at the age of 40 my own retirement, investment portfolio is lacking and seeing these ads screaming out "This Might Be You" scares the heck out of me more than any topic I write about for The Paranormal Blog. They particularly work on me because as a member of generation-X I have serious doubts that the projected tax base in Canada for those years when (if I live long enough) I should be retired will be able to support the government run pension plan program, here in Canada known as CPP.

While my own father re-entered the work force two years after he retired mainly due to boredom and a strong feeling of wishing to do more with his remaining years than was offered at home I realise that this is not the case for many of the seniors I do see at fast food chains or working as Wal-Mart greeters. And the latter does disturb me, not only because I feel truly bad for them, but because I might see my future self in their eyes.

Hardly A Failure At A Seven-Figure Pay Cheque

That is what is estimated that Kevin Federline (aka ex-Mr.Britney Spears) will be paid for the Nationwide Insurance ads running this Super Bowl Sunday. These along with a contract offered by the W.W.E World Wrestling Entertainment's Vince Macmahon should keep K-Fed out of the poor house.

Federline will appear in the ads as a fast food restaurant clerk, presumably implying if you work at that type of business establishment you'll be in need of insurance whilst perhaps poking fun at his well-publicized failures?

I'm taking a guess at the above, and since I'll probably be one of the few in the Universe not watching the Super Bowl I'm not apt to see the ads until they are inevitably uploaded to the internet. And even then......

Not certain if Kevin Federline would prompt me to run out and sign-up for a Nationwide Insurance package, but regardless of whether or not this marketing scheme works you'd be hard pressed to call K-Fed a complete failure with the endorsements and contracts he's been getting.

Associated Content - Get Paid For Your Articles

Associated Content will publish your articles, and will offer payment in US dollars via paypal for any of your work that they decide to purchase.

A friend of mine from Mylot just had a short article she had submitted to the program published for $6.00. The piece took her approx. 5-10 minutes to write and her work is now reaching a much greater audience. How cool is that!

You also have the option to submit your work under an exclusive or non-exclusive contract meaning you can retain your copyright to any article or photo submitted to them if you choose to.

The only down-side (for this Canadian) is that at this point in time Associated Content will only pay residents of the USA. However, if you are not American the added exposure and publicity that your writing will receive might still be worth it to you to join.

Cheers!

Bank Service Fees Are Outrageous!

Finally politicians of different political ideologies are questioning bank service fees here in Canada. I've always found it a tad outrageous that we the consumer must pay fees to withdraw OUR own money. Once I had a bounced cheque because the bank decided to withdraw their fees of two months totally over $40.00 dollars instead of honouring my cheque, of course then levying additional fees for bouncing my cheque! I think it is about time that financial institutions are forced by government to justify their fees. They turn billions of dollars in profit each year on the backs of their customers.

On a much lighter note, please help us welcome our new roomie of the week Scooter Mcgavin...you can meet us out on the 9th green....four!
