*Sigh!* - Memories! (A Brief Doctor Update...)

Well, it's back to work this morning...
after the three day Easter weekend here in Toronto... and as you can tell by the image above, we are NOW almost 100% caught up on our Doctor Who episodes... and for Andy and those who are DYING to know, although Sue thinks there SHOULD be a female doctor soon and LOVED the idea of Joanna Lumley as our Time Lord...

Sue has a doctor now...

Sue's doctor is David Tennant... The Tenth Doctor...

I think him beating up on a Werewolf sealed the deal... or it was re-living a combination of Titanic, The Poseidon Adventure, and West World...

Call it a hunch, but I can see the poor kidollo getting "forced" into having the same doctor... and probably Torchwood to boot. Ten'll get you twenty trying to get the kidollo into this will be, as they say, Teh Epic Fail!

(Non-Doctor Who fans are now completely mystified...)

I would say Tennant is our "family" doctor... but my doctor was Jon Pertwee or the Third Doctor (as I date myself again...)

*Phew* Okay, I've geeked enough... and feel the resurgence of geek running through these veins of mine...

We want our own K-9... okay, we want the bus first... THEN we want a K-9!

Sue corrected me... she now wants a TARDIS... I should ask her, would she want the "traditional police box"... or some other form of wonderful camouflage.

Time Is Running Short on our Dream!

Click here for details... 'cuz we need some sorta help... and maybe you or someone you know can assist us with our dream...

If only someone had suggested the Tardis be a double decker bus... I'm sure that would have been much better than a police box.

I try to watch Doctor Who whenever it comes on. I loved the new ones. Hope they get more play. I heard they are not making more for the series. Why do they keep stopping it when it seems to have a pretty big group of loyal fans?

My Tardis would be a digital camera. Just look through the lens and get sucked inside. Of course, I'd have to have a handsome male assistant to keep putting my Tardis back in my purse for me. Would really be annoying if it kept falling on the ground once I was inside.

Hey Laura... There indeed IS going to be a "Season 4"!!! They've released a "trailer" for the shows already on the Beeb...

I think the show is around to stay as long as North American outlets keep buying it (which they are) and the writers keep things moving along and fresh... The reason it was cancelled was because a "new" head of BBC (in the 1980's) said he didn't like the show and wanted to make a "new BBC" and so he canned Sylvester McCoy and troop... and it took almost a decade to restore the show.

The bus Tardis isn't bad... but might be a bit large on the outside. I always liked The Master's original "Grandfather Clock" Tardis personally.

Anyway, I'm just happy... Sue's addicted now! :)

Hey Penelope Anne... Well, I don't have a spare TARDIS... nor K9... nor a sonic screwdriver... but should I ever meet a Timelord, I'll ask. :)

Better than a police box? Sacrilege!

A great post, and Season 4 starts in the UK on Saturday 5 April, I am told, at 7pm. Next year the show takes a break, no full season but three specials before returning for season 5 in 2010.

You can get a large K-9 toy of reasonable size that would set you back around £50. You can also get various TARDISes. I've got a money box one, the TARDIS playset and too many action figures to count.

Me, big kid? Yes. Absolutely! x

By the way the show was cancelled in 1988, so it's way more than a decade it took before it returned. Nearly 17 years in fact.

It's the BBC's number one show, and makes millions in merchandise, so it's unlikely it will ever suffer the fate of the original series again...

And apparently the Guinness Book of Records incorrectly lists Stargate SG-1 as the world's longest-running sci-fi series. It isn't. That's Doctor Who--even if you don't count the dark ages between 1988 and 2005. The show's first-ever episode aired on the same day JFK was assassinated. x

Hey Andy... My apologies... as a Jon Pertwee/Tom Baker Dr. Who fan, I assure you that was a typo.

It was, however, cancelled by a new head of programming who wanted to build a "new" BBC and in his eyes, Dr. Who didn't fit in... Caught that in the documentary from 2003 called "The Story of Dr. Who".

If you check my Thursday Thirteen, I'm hinting to Sue that a radio controlled K-9 MUST be in my future... but a TARDIS USB hub would be fun too (see the same link).

Should we go back to concentrating on and letting folks know how things are going with our bus? (Kinda back to the good ol' days?)
