Wordless Wednesday: Three Targets...

Just three pics today... but three VERY important pics... These are the THREE buses we're hoping someone will help us with...

Two we'd be thrilled to get PERSONALLY... one we're hoping ANYONE will buy to save it from being scrapped.

I hope you take a few seconds to read the BRIEF blurb I'm going to write under each one...

Regent Low Height 3
The Original One Old Green Bus - RLH 3. This is the bus we've been after since this blog started... it will take $20,000.00 to make this dream a reality. Click here for more details about THIS bus.

Barton Transport #512
This is NOT a "Regent Low Height"... but is in GRAVE danger of being scrapped. It's located very close to Chicago and will be scrapped in about a week or so if a new owner isn't found. We've said we'd LOVE to adopt her as a project, but we'd be happy if ANYONE bought her and spared her from the scrappers... $2,200.00 will buy her... for us, it would also require some extra for shipping as she isn't running... We hope someone will save her... or help us save her. Click here for the information on her... scroll down to the entry on the Leyland PD-1 from 1948 for details...

Someone e-mailed me recently and said, with the now THREE buses in our sites (granted, only two are really "personal", but work with me...) if we expected a "miracle"...

...I responded that it is Christmas time... and there's always hope.

...and we do have our dreams.

...and I've been good Santa, HONEST!

In Addenda: Lots of chatter via e-mail lately...

In answer to a GOOD question...

How long are you going to keep posting about these buses?

Excellent question.

Well, the blog IS about the "One Old Green Bus"... so for it, really, always. GRANTED, through the Christmas season, I have turned it up a notch... This is because we're hoping that things will happen for Christmas to give us a little hope...

As for the other two buses... their longevity is in question.

RLH 62 will most likely be sold through it's auction soon... and I had to try (see above) so when it's gone, it will cease being mentioned.

Barton Transport #512 will either be scrapped or sold before month's end... so when either happens, it will cease to be mentioned.

We are hoping for a Christmas "miracle", if you will... so please, for one more lousy week, indulge us. :)

Thanks folks...

I wonder why one would wonder how long you would blog about the buses.

The blog is about the buses.

Its title includes a bus. I hope it continues to be about the bus or buses until you own as many of them as you would like. I like the blog and I like to see the buses.
Thanks!

Hey threecollie... We've... wait... I mean "I" have been taking a LOT of comment/heat via the mail form and even regular mail that we've become "too beggy" (as one person put it.) To be honest, I've had eight people "complain" that I needed to reign it in... so I will (hence the return to the old template stuff... background and top image...) I'm STILL not giving up (BY A LONG SHOT) considering that UNDER $7,000 would really complete the dream for all intents and purposes... save "RLH 3"... but I'll work towards that AFTER watching my kids freak that the dream came true... that and I want to ensure that the one bus is safe... but I do want to ensure readers are happy... so I can tone it down for now... Thanks Threecollie... your support for us means more than you know!

Hello Natalie... Thanks... we're gonna keep tryin'!

Hi Candy Minx... Nil Desperandum! We're gonna keep trying hard! Thanks, as always...

We have a saying over here - you wait hours for a bus - then along come three at once - ;)

Y'know what I said about this comment, MsDemmie... I read this after dinner and said, "MsDemmie just hit one out of the park." which is a baseball reference to whacking a home run during a game! Excellent comment! (I will be stealing it at some point!)
