I recently promised NOT to hit people over the head with this one... but indulge me for Wordless Wednesday... because we get a TONNE of visitors today and for our Thursday Thirteen...

I beg you, if you don't know the story behind the addition of ONE OLD RED BUS to our blog, please read below... I've done my best to keep it short.

During Part of December 2007 Only... We have added to our "quest", so to speak... Below are images of a 1948 Leyland PD-1 double-decker... that will end up in a scrap yard in a couple of weeks without some action. The current owner is asking $2,200.00 for the bus because he is effectively losing his storage space... if he does NOT sell it, he will be forced to scrap the vehicle.

We here at "One Old Green Bus" are therefore hoping to accomplish one of two things...

#1: Find the $5,000.00 we would need to purchase and ship the bus to us to adopt as a project. We would STILL be hoping to get our One Old Green Bus, but this would be a GREAT "Christmas Gift" and would soften the blow if we are not successful in our attempts to get our bus... especially with the kids... and at 1/4 of the cost of our green bus, MIGHT be "do-able". We'd STILL try for the green bus, but this would be another project we'd LOVE to take on... and it's better than seeing it scrapped.

#2: Find an alternative buyer... Although we'd LOVE to have this bus, as long as it does not end up scrapped, we'd be VERY grateful for anyone who'd save this old vehicle!

I can't say this strongly enough... Although we'd love to have this bus... and $5,000.00 should be a lot easier to "find" than $20,000.00... we welcome ANYONE who might want to purchase this bus for themselves and find it a good home outside a wrecking yard.

I've honestly never felt like I've "begged" before... but to save this bus, I'm begging... if you can't help... if you can't save it for yourself... PLEASE blog about this! Help get some traffic over this way and perhaps someone will read about this and help out...
