Sure, we're really kinda focused on "our bus", Regent Low Height Three, but we do watch for other buses... and have a soft spot for 'em all and hate to see ANY end up scrapped...

...which brings us to an e-mail I received via British Buses Abroad in North America...

Been a while since I have been a member of this group. Unfortunatly I am back because I must sell my bus. It is a 1948 Leyland PD-1A with a Duple body, registration JRR261. I have owned it for about 4 years, it needs a complete restoration. I have got to get it moved from its current location in the next 3 weeks and have no place to move it to. If it doesn’t sell it will be going to the scrap yard, and I really don’t want to see that happen. Please somebody save this old bus.

Now, why I mentioned this bus and Christmas together...

#1: Sure! We'd LOVE to tackle this project ourselves... but still don't have a LOUSY $5000.00 for the project... (includes shipping fees)... So, I mean, if you were thinking of getting "us" (Sue, The Kid, The Puppies, The Kitties, and Myself!) a small Christmas gift, we'd LOVE to see this old bus under our tree! (Better there than scrapped... and we WOULD give it the ol' college try in getting her back into shape!)

#2: (...and equally as good...) If someone here wanted their OWN double-decker and is willing to try and look after this bus, PLEASE buy it an let us know it's safe and being worked on... Like I said, the important thing is that she isn't scrapped.

For the record, if someone DID buy us the above bus... we would STILL be trying to get "our bus"... as it's special to us in particular. That said, however, for both Sue and myself, they've ALL become a little special... and we hope they will all be spared the scrappers.

Anyway, just wanted to "seed" the thought...
