PLEASE READ THIS BIT FIRST: Every month, at least three or four people write to me about purchasing these buses AND/OR looking for information on what's happening/happened to them... to be honest, I have no idea what's happened/happening to them. I have no contacts for their owner or caretakers and I do not currently know there whereabouts or status... nor, to be sadly honest, do I currently have the time or resources to find out... (I'm kinda swamped with other work, family, etc.... and still holding out hope that we will own the bus we're looking for...) To that end, I'm afraid I cannot be of assistance in locating these buses or finding out if they are for sale or not...
UPDATE: December 2009 If you wish more information on these buses, including sales and parts enquiries, PLEASE see this post (click here).
We found out in the fall of 2007 that the buses in Parkesville mentioned below are NOT for sale and the owner is now looking for a place to house his "collection". We apologise for any issues this post has caused by not being updated sooner...
Every now and again, I hear from someone in Canada's West Coast about the field o' double-decker buses.

Basically, from what I was told, the buses are in Parkesville, British Columbia and are owned by a fellow who hoped to make them into a museum of sorts.
According to "bus enthusiasts" in newsgroups and mail groups, he was not interested in parting with the vehicles in whole or in parts... he was content to keep them "as is".
Most of the buses, I was told, were old tour buses used in Victoria and/or Vancouver he'd picked up over the years...

I've known about these buses and the fellow for a couple of years now... and I always marvel at the sheer amount of these wonderful vehicles he has.

Well, imagine my shock yesterday morning when (of all folks,) Ewen Pring of the RLH Information Centre posted up that the fellow had APPARENTLY advertised ALL the buses for sale... and on Craigslist to boot!
I have some Double Decker Buses for sale. They're from the 1940's through the 1960's. Original condition...meaning they need restoration. Also have spare parts for sale.
They range from $5,000 to $12,000.

Now, sure, there's no Regent Low Heights in his mix... our bus ain't in there... but MAN ALIVE, if I had the coins...
I'd be picking out my faves... and there are some beauties in there!

Sue should be happy though... because if I did have the pennies to rub together, I'd STILL be after RLH 3, but we'd have two other old double-deckers to contend with too! ![]()
Hmm... One Old Green Bus, One Old Powder-Blue Bus, One Old Light-Brown leaning to Yellow Bus...

Man, that would be a blog, eh?
It's funny... when we FIRST saw the picture of the "line up", Sue pegged the powder blue job above as her "favourite"... and if my eyes don't deceive me, I think I may know why...

...it does have a similar front grill. ![]()
The standard last note on the old blog... PLEASE SUPPORT THE DREAM!
This blog is here to help promote a dream that an entire family shares... that dream is to rescue an old London Double-Decker bus.
Please, if you have a few minutes, take some time to find out more about this bus and the kooky dream by clicking here.
This bus is VERY special to myself and the whole family, and any help any person can lend us would be most gratefully accepted.

(...and who doesn't need some shtuff!)
Please help us make this dream a reality and save a piece of history!
We thank you for your support!
Please Note: We are also hoping for help from a public relations/marketing standpoint... If you might be able to assist OR know someone who might be willing to, please click here and read this entry...

See the "latest post" on the left here... I've decided to concentrate on other work so this blog is kinda done for me... THANKS kindly to my friends and regular readers... and as you'll note, I am still loitering in the blogsphere... and I'm still online... and I honestly haven't given up hope that we will get our dream bus one day! (We've just gotten REALLY quiet about it...)
