Fruit Baskets can make for a perfect, healthy gift for Dad this coming Father's Day or for any holiday, and celebratory occasion! Today, I want to share with you some information on fruit baskets, and other yummy treats, and food stuffs from The Fruit Company!
I had the pleasure of visiting The Fruit Company online shop earlier this afternoon, and I'll give you this heads up, a visit to this site will certainly make your mouth water!
This very established company was featured in Oprah Winifrey's O magazine, and it is easy to see why! Not only do they specialise in gorgeous Fruit Baskets, but you can also purchase one of my all-time faves gourmet cheesecake through them!
The fruits they use are direct from their very own orchards located Hood River, Oregon. You can read all about the history of this remarkable family owned company directly on their website. And because they utilise fruits from their own orchards they can happily offer their customers a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
The website is very easy to use, and you have the option of viewing items listed by price or by collection. You may place your orders online through the site or make further queries via email or through their phone line: +18003873100
The Fruit Company is also available for yummy corporate gifts, and even has a Monthly Fruit Club. International orders are welcome, and accommodated.
If you are looking for a healthy, and yummy gift for Dad this year, you'll definitely want to check out The Fruit Company!
Happy Shopping!

I have just started reading and enjoying a blog called Mad Ravings of an Entrepreneurial Scientist... granted, he stepped on a personal land-mine of mine in one post where he helped one of his students through a tough time...
The student was overburdened with "problems" and said as much, the good doctor suggested that he change the word "problem" to "situation" and it would be better.
Ummm... semantics... they're not just for breakfast anymore.
I have a lot of experience in offices... and have had all the "challenges", "issues", "synergy building", and "dynamic construction" one fella can take in a lifetime.
At an I.T. helpdesk at one company I worked for, a woman won a substantial "prize" for coming up with a way to improve morale... she changed the name from "Trouble Ticket" (the number assigned to a problem reported to the help desk,) to "Issue Ticket".
Yeah, when you can't get your biz e-mail, it's an "issue"... don't think of it as a "trouble"... or a "problem"... that's negative!
Anyone else have a complaint or concern become an "action item" for someone? Why not just say, "Oh, that? So-and-so is working on that problem."
NO! NO!
"Thank you for showing us this challenge that could affect our group synergy! It's become an action item for so-and-so and he is working to face that challenge for you!"
Man, I don't know about you, but I hear crud like that and I think, Wow! You are a practitioner of the Fish Philosophy and read Who Moved My Cheese with a highlighter at the ready, didn't you? Oh by the way, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU REALLY DOING TO RESOLVE MY PROBLEM!?!
I have nothing against making things a touch more euphemistic, but c'mon... DEEDS, NOT WORDS please!
Consider this an action item of the highest priority... or I'll move your cheese while whacking you with a fish!
Now, NOTHING against the good doctor at Mad Ravings of an Entrepreneurial Scientist and I liked a lot of what I read and will return... but PLEASE, don't unleash a bunch of office-speek-spewing non-technocrats onto us unsuspecting older employees... because, quite frankly, I'm running out of places to hide bodies!
The standard last note on the old blog... PLEASE SUPPORT THE DREAM!
This blog is here to help promote a dream that an entire family shares... that dream is to rescue an old London Double-Decker bus.
Please, if you have a few minutes, take some time to find out more about this bus and the kooky dream by clicking here.
This bus is VERY special to myself and the whole family, and any help any person can lend us would be most gratefully accepted.
If you or someone you know might be interested, there's our tiny banner site, HelpCoverTheBus.Com and a PayPal donation button (see the upper-right hand side of the blog) and, of course, a Cafe Press shop for T-Shirts and shtuff!
(...and who doesn't need some shtuff!)
Please help us make this dream a reality and save a piece of history!
We thank you for your support!
Please Note: We are also hoping for help from a public relations/marketing standpoint... If you might be able to assist OR know someone who might be willing to, please click here and read this entry...
Team Wealth Builder is a brand new forum that was just launched a couple of weeks back, and is promising to be a good place for online discussion on topics such as personal finance, wealth management, investments etc.
For regular readers of this blog, the Team Wealth Builder site is set up very similarly to our own PSICAN forums, which means it is very easy to use. Just sign up for an account, read through their FAQ, and terms of service (recommended for signing up to any forum) and start posting away.
One thing that struck me about this forum is that while still an infant in internet age (they've only just launched very recently) there are already numerous categories to peruse, many members already signed up, and it appears to be very active! It actually took us quite a few months to build up to where they appear to be at within just two weeks!
I was particularly interested in an AGLOCO thread started by an Admin as I have had serious misgivings about it from the get go, and I appreciated the no-nonsense type discussion. There are many similar threads on the site, and hopefully they will help people like me to avoid the numerous scams, and get rich quick schemes that litter the internet.
Overall I think this site has some really good potential, and I have bookmarked it. The content is informative, it's active, and easy to use. The only thing I didn't care for is the choice of colours used, but no big deal, for such a minor aesthetic thing I would not stop using a particular site, and it is still easy on the eyes, which I do appreciate.
If you are interested in discussion on money, finances, real-estate, business, and money making opportunities online Team Wealth Builder is a site worth checking out in my opinion.

I think I mentioned I was pop-culture "challenged" on some things... This includes things "online"...
Well, yesterday I was going through the "Wordless Wednesday" lot and over at Green Grass Grows and found another one of the one's below...
...granted, the one linked at Green Grass Grows is "Inspector Gadget" and is a little more pop-culture cool, but I liked the "Peter and the Wolf"...
This guys is fun and phenomenal!
Very cool stuff!

Have you ever dreamed of starting up your own business? If you have, and you are a regular reader of this blog then you already know that I too share in that dream, and have been working towards getting my own small home-based business up, and running, and off the ground.
Since today is "Helping Hands Thursday" I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce you our readers to this fabulous online resource for everything you need to know (and perhaps you didn't even realise that you did need to know) on starting your own business big or small.
Incparadise.com covers topics such as the differences between types of business entities throughout the United States, including New Jersey corporations to name just one. They have a complete page devoted to different business structures that is quite informative, and will give you a greater understanding of exactly what is involved.
For a reasonable fee Incparadise.com can also assist you with the necessary paperwork for incorporation throughout each individual state. I suggest that you visit their website directly for further details on this.
I also found their affiliate program to be of interest, and you might as well. It is an opportunity to work directly with their company, and earn commissions on incorporation services. Definitely an opportunity to read up on! Go have a look!

The Current Time in Toronto is...
This blog was started in April of 2006... its original itent was really twofold. One was to be a "sounding board" for it's author... and the other... well...
At the time we started this, your humble author was unemployed and going through the usual crisis situations that arise from being jobless.
We (my wife, stepdaughter, and I,) used to "amuse" ourselves (read: Take our minds off our troubles) by more-or-less fantasizing as a family about what we'd do when things "turned around". Along this route, we discussed going to England on a vacation... and in that, alighted on "double-decker buses".
We kind of adopted one bus... Regent Low Height 3... as Our Bus... and we used to talk about what we'd do with "our bus" if we got it... from fixing it up to the trips we'd take on it.
Along the way, we became students of the history of this bus which HONESTLY seemd it was truly for us... trouble was, we couldn't afford the bus and weren't in a position to work towards the bus... so we had a couple of options...
Since the bus' position was sketchy (there's a chance she might be sold for scrap or "carved up" in other ways,) we could forget about her and pretend she didn't exist...
...or we could TRY... ask for help... put our dream of owning and saving "One Old Green Bus" into the universe and see what happens...
As of February, 2008, we knew that there was a perspective buyer for the bus (not us, obviously,) and made some difficult decisions... The first was that we wouldn't "beg" for help anymore and give the little money we received to a few different charities both online and off... and the second was simply hope that either we find a corporate sponsor (for an "ad" idea we have, click here to about read that,) or even a patron who see's the value in a silly family's dream...
But, if the bus is about to be purchased by someone who's planning on restoring it and they "get there first", we wish them well and are glad that at least Our One Old Green Bus is in a safe place being looked after.
For now, though, we are still hoping WE might be the ones to get our One Old Green Bus and see a family dream come true...
Regardless, this blog WILL continue... and we will still "go for" a bus of our own... but this blog will ALWAYS be dedicated to our own One Old Green Bus.
