Okay, yes... I'm still *cough* *cough* *hack* *hack* sick... but the brain has finally come back to some semblance of life... and I've improved(?) enough to get back to work...
That said, wanna see what was on the lunchroom table at my office???
Yup, someone had thoughtfully bought EVERYONE in the office (including me) a "Double Decker"!
(No, this does not mean that "the dream" here is over... it's just not quite the same... but it was nice and yes, it was good!)
These bars are not easily available in Canada... and are mostly a U.K. product... I'm not 100% sure about availability in the States...
To quote the Cadbury site about them...
A twin layered product with interesting combinations of crispy cereals and nougatine, wrapped in delicious Cadbury chocolate flavoured with a small amount of coffee.
I've never had one before yesterday and I'll say it...
IF, like me, you've never had one before and like chocolate/candy bars, FIND ONE AND TRY IT!
They are very goodly!
...although, if Cadbury in North America decides to market this epicurian delight here, I have three things to suggest...
#1: Your marketing campaign of calling it The zany hunger-buster! is... well... let's just say, I don't think North Americans would be sold on a "zany" treat... perhaps it's the over-use of the word "zany" in North America when dealing with things like Pauly Shore movies and anything with actor Ted McGinley
#2: The recent ads in the U.K. that have the catch-phrase of Are you missing something up top? in today's world here would be sounding more like an advertisement for breast augmentation.
#3: For a SPECTACULAR advertising campaign in North America, may I suggest... oh, I don't know... (CLICK HERE!!!!)
Kidding aside, it is a very unique and tasty treat... and HONESTLY, family-born selfish interests aside, it'd be nice if Cadbury Canada (or North America) thought about bringing them here (HINT! HINT!)
A most goodly bar... and a nice surprise when I got into my office yesterday...
Almost made it worth coming in sick!
...almost...
...okay, no it didn't.
...but it was a good chocolate bar!
He Has Arrived!!!!!
Meet Kipling... our newest family member...
...and here was the welcoming committee...
(Starting on the top going counter-clockwise, Mary, Max, and Annie.)
Kipling is roughly half the size of our dear Max... and they all get along great... but there's no doubt, Kip is DEFINITELY no shrinking violet! He often terrorizes Max with a FEARSOME (giggle) snarl! (Actually, he does terrorize Max... but it's all in good fun with no harm... but Max is not necessarily the "Alpha" of the house...)
There's a new "big dog" in our home... and his name...
Is "The Kipster"... or "LingLing"... or more often than not, "The Little Guy".
I'm not sure if Max is totally amused... but he seems happy despite the occasional snarling little beastie getting to him... but my gosh, when they play, it's impressive! Two little guys just goin' nuts!
Oh, and today is my boy Max's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!
Really quick note of thanks...
During my illness, Sue REALLY helped out keeping the ol' blog alive... and therefore, the dream. Considering she does the lion's share of the work on our Paranormal Blog, you guys have no idea how much I love and respect her for just going above and beyond... not to mention, she (as always) will be looking after the new "tenant/renter" here tomorrow, no doubt!
For their well-wishes, thanks to Ms. Demmie, Andrea, and Cat.
The standard last note on the old blog... PLEASE SUPPORT THE DREAM!
This blog is here to help promote a dream that an entire family shares... that dream is to rescue an old London Double-Decker bus.
Please, if you have a few minutes, take some time to find out more about this bus and the kooky dream by clicking here.
This bus is VERY special to myself and the whole family, and any help any person can lend us would be most gratefully accepted.
If you or someone you know might be interested, there's our pixel ad site, HelpCoverTheBus.Com and a PayPal donation button (see the upper-right hand side of the blog) and, of course, a Cafe Press shop for T-Shirts and shtuff!
(...and who doesn't need some shtuff!)
Please help us make this dream a reality and save a piece of history!
We thank you for your support!
Please Note: We are also hoping for help from a public relations/marketing standpoint... If you might be able to assist OR know someone who might be willing to, please click here and read this entry...
See the "latest post" on the left here... I've decided to concentrate on other work so this blog is kinda done for me... THANKS kindly to my friends and regular readers... and as you'll note, I am still loitering in the blogsphere... and I'm still online... and I honestly haven't given up hope that we will get our dream bus one day! (We've just gotten REALLY quiet about it...)
