I love stats.
Okay, more realistically, I love looking through my own stats... especially how people "found" this site.
The "referring searches" often lets me know what people were really looking for... and found me.
Here's some of the latest... These are words typed into search engines... and this blog came up...
lake havasu 2006 4th of july fireworks show sucked
Apparently, a critic of the fireworks displayed in Lake Havasu City, Arizona came across my little note on RLH 39 (which I admit to being one of my favourites of all the RLH's I've seen... next, of course, to our dear old RLH 3.) Sorry, no info on the fireworks though... and I feel bad that they were not to everyone's liking.
Actually, in researching about RLH 39, I read a lot about Lake Havasu City and honestly, I'd like to visit there one day! It sounds like a great place! (...and has RLH 39 which is a GREAT Regent Low Height!)
Did I mention I really like RLH 39 for some reason? (See below...)
bus rutten
Well, I have to assume this is a mis-type of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) living legend, Bas Rutten... which is funny, as both buses and Bas have been mentioned here... See the post at this link (click here) for the Bas stuff... Bas is great... yeah, he is.
ugly looking buses
I hope this one is NOT about OUR RLH 3! Thems would be fightin' words!
I have a feeling it picked up on my several rants about the "newer" double-deckers... at least it better have or, to quote Bas Rutten, BANG! BANG! DANGADA-DANGADA-BANG!
height of people in canada
Well, I'm 6' 2" tall... does that help? I can only imagine that since "Height" is mentioned so often here (as in Regent Low Height) that it picked up on it.
...and of course, I am Canadian!
Ancestary of famous persons
Oh, I'm not famous... not at all! But I did have a post about finding out about some of my own lineage... which made me happy... I may have mentioned history once or twice in my War of 1812 Re-Enactment entry which may have triggered the find...
The last one I'll touch on isn't that weird...
rlh california
Now, they COULD have been looking for our beloved RLH 3... but I bet they were looking for three others... namely RLH 53, 69, and 71... currently resting in a field near Murrieta, California.
These three wonderful buses were featured in a newspaper article... which said the current owner would "donate" the buses to a good cause. I did contact the fellow, and the word "donate" meant something a little different to him... He want's $15,000.00 per bus... plus shipping... which is what he paid to have them delivered to himself... so it's not a freebie.
I tried to find out about them with the thought that I could "give" one to one of my paranormal groups, one to a War of 1812 re-enactment group, and keep one as a finder's fee (if you will). (Yeah, I know... it's NOT RLH 3... but I figgered if I nabbed one of them, I could still shoot for the TRUE dream bus! I'd have still begged, borrowed, and whatever to get the ONE bus that meant the most to all of us!)
It's kinda sad, really... both groups I was hoping to score the buses for would have made fantastic use of "the one" they would have received.
Anyway, good news if that searcher comes back... I have mirrored the article which you can see by clicking here.

My Disclosure Policy For Sponsored Posts
The Current Time in Toronto is...
This blog was started in April of 2006... its original itent was really twofold. One was to be a "sounding board" for it's author... and the other... well...
At the time we started this, your humble author was unemployed and going through the usual crisis situations that arise from being jobless.
We (my wife, stepdaughter, and I,) used to "amuse" ourselves (read: Take our minds off our troubles) by more-or-less fantasizing as a family about what we'd do when things "turned around". Along this route, we discussed going to England on a vacation... and in that, alighted on "double-decker buses".
We kind of adopted one bus... Regent Low Height 3... as Our Bus... and we used to talk about what we'd do with "our bus" if we got it... from fixing it up to the trips we'd take on it.
Along the way, we became students of the history of this bus which HONESTLY seemd it was truly for us... trouble was, we couldn't afford the bus and weren't in a position to work towards the bus... so we had a couple of options...
Since the bus' position was sketchy (there's a chance she might be sold for scrap or "carved up" in other ways,) we could forget about her and pretend she didn't exist...
...or we could TRY... ask for help... put our dream of owning and saving "One Old Green Bus" into the universe and see what happens...
As of February, 2008, we knew that there was a perspective buyer for the bus (not us, obviously,) and made some difficult decisions... The first was that we wouldn't "beg" for help anymore and give the little money we received to a few different charities both online and off... and the second was simply hope that either we find a corporate sponsor (for an "ad" idea we have, click here to about read that,) or even a patron who see's the value in a silly family's dream...
But, if the bus is about to be purchased by someone who's planning on restoring it and they "get there first", we wish them well and are glad that at least Our One Old Green Bus is in a safe place being looked after.
For now, though, we are still hoping WE might be the ones to get our One Old Green Bus and see a family dream come true...
Regardless, this blog WILL continue... and we will still "go for" a bus of our own... but this blog will ALWAYS be dedicated to our own One Old Green Bus.
